I remember this issue. It's extremely dark. Cunning. The situation Peter is in is extremely dark. Peter senses something is lurking in the shadows, but he can't determine what it is. The way the table expanded shows Peter is distancing himself. This sinister Mary Jane knew how to deceive Peter quite well. She persuaded him to reveal things about himself to make himself vulnerable to the situation. It shows how naive Peter Parker can be at times. One of the darkest issues of Ultimate spider-man. Cunning, vile, sinister, and dark.
